Short listed is a good thing! My story, Fox, was short listed for the 2013 Arcadia Short Story Contest. That means I was a finalist, which is great–not as great as first or second, mind you–but I’m happy. Thanks, Arcadia!

Greetings! I hope you like my blog. I'm a writer. My short stories have appeared in seventeen literary journals and anthologies to date, most recently in the New Guard and American Fiction 14, and I have been a finalist in several contests, such as the Arcadia Short Story Contest. Hunting in the Dark, a flash novel, was published in October 2014 by Bartleby Snopes, and I have just completed my first novel, Ahnwee Days. Previous to writing fiction, I have had good success in non-fiction, most notably my book, Bi America (Haworth Press, 2005). View all posts by William
