Handbook of LGBT Elders

I’m proud to announce that I have a chapter in the new gerontology text book, Handbook of LGBT Elders: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Principles, Practices, and Policies, Debra A. Harley and Pamela B. Teaster Editors. You’ll be surprised and shocked to know that I wrote a chapter on bisexuality, specifically, “Bisexuality: An Invisible Community Among LGBT Elders.”

In it I talk about topics familiar to bisexuals of any age group, specifically understanding bisexuals and health inequities, and the need for service providers to check their judgment and assumptions at the door.

I would love to hear from any readers out there! I’m imagining college classes assigning readings from this book, and I hope I made my chapter conversational and approachable enough not to put students asleep.
