Hi, fellow short story lover!
I’m excited to say my short story, A Compact Man, is going to be published!
A Compact Man is a story I’m very proud of. It’s also a story I’ve not often submitted. Why? Well, it’s the story about a man who finds a rather discrepant way to break out of his shell. I needed to find just the right discrepant lit mag/website for it.
Ricky’s Back Yard is a “punk style magazine” based out of Montreal. They say, “We are the guys you go to when you want to read something not main stream–something that will haunt you.” Plus, the issue has an LGBTQ theme with all profit goes to The Trevor Project.*
Yeah, these are my guys for A Compact Man.
It’s not up yet, so stay tuned.
And, in case you are wondering, that’s my 17th short story published. Time to do a collection?
* The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.
